Republican Primary and Convention Process
2026 Resolutions Committee Overview
The Resolutions Committee is a temporary committee formed for the 2026 Primary Convention cycle. It’s purpose is to ensure that the conservative values and priorities of Llano County Republicans are clearly expressed and well-represented at the County, Senate District, and State Conventions.
What the Committee Does-
- Collects resolutions from precinct conventions
- Reviews, edits, and consolidates submissions
- Evaluates resolutions from other Texas counties to identify strong or shared language
- Prepares a final resolution report for the Llano County Convention
- Forwards adopted resolutions to the SD Convention
- Supports the advancement of county priorities to the State Convention
Why Resolutions Matter-
Resolutions help shape the Republican Party of Texas Platform and Legislative Priorities. Many statewide policies begin as a one-page resolution written by a grassroots Republican at a local precinct convention.
How to Participate-
Submit a written resolution at your precinct convention using the standard form below. All Republicans are welcome to participate in shaping our county’s conservative voice. If you have any questions or if you would like to participate on the Resolutions Committee during the upcoming Primary Convention, March 28th (see Calendar for Info.), send an email to llanoctygop@gmail.com.
